JOB DESCRIPTION
Professional Truck Driver – Canada / US Long Haul & Short Haul
You will be working in a fast paced, hands on environment. These positions are ideal for someone who is self motivated and holds a strong work ethic.
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)

• ·         Driver’s License Class 1 (3 Years Experience)
• ·         Air Brake Endorsement
• ·         Accident or incident reports (Diver Abstract)
• ·         Knowledge of both  Paper / E-log

Communication Systems Experience

• Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Specific Skills

• Transport and handle goods
• Load and unload goods at various locations
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

Own Tools/Equipment

• Steel-toed safety boots
• Own Vehicle (class 5 license)

Transportation/Travel Information

•  Some travel required (Daytime, evenings, over night, weekends)

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Repetitive tasks
• Attention to detail
• Sitting / Driving for periods of time

Type of Trucking and Equipment

• Tractor-trailer (Refer, Dry van)
• Dump Trailer

Transportation/Travel Experience

• Regionally
• Inter-provincial
• Major highways in Central and Eastern Canada
• US Routes such as Boston, Florida, South Carolina, and Eastern Seaboard etc.
